WSOP.com launches in Michigan; Joe Cada named local ambassador

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is now live in a new area of the United States. The brand announced yesterday that services via WSOP.com are now open to online poker players in Michigan. The state is fourth in which WSOP operates in the nation, joining New Jersey, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.

Poker fans now have access to many services, including cash games, tournaments, and more. The WSOP site features Omaha variants and Texas Hold’em of course, along with many different formats for gaming. Players can take part in daily guaranteed events plus satellites to the upcoming 2022 WSOP.

Getting Started

The WSOP site in Michigan is expected to be quite popular with players. The site offers new players $50 in bonus cash upon registration with $25 made available immediately. The remaining $25 is released once a first deposit is made. A deposit match deal is also provided by the brand for newbies plus welcome week freerolls.

SVP of the WSOP at Caesars Entertainment, Ty Stewart, commented on the launch by stating: “With two world champions coming out of this state, Michigan is a special market for the WSOP. We’re sorry it’s taken so long, but WSOP.com is ready to make up for our late entry with industry-leading promotions, the biggest weekly tournaments, and player appreciation benefits like freerolls to the Main Event in Las Vegas.”

Members of WSOP.com have access to premium tournament action including the weekly Sunday Major and Six Figure Sundays. Events have huge, guaranteed prize pools, ensuring that the top finishers add a chunk of change to their bankroll.

Additional Info on the New Site

All eyes will be on the WSOP by May when the 2022 WSOP Series kicks off in Las Vegas. The event has moved to a new location and will take place on the Las Vegas Strip for the very first time this year. Players in Michigan will be able to compete in satellites via the online site for just $1, with a chance to win a prize package to attend the Main Event of the WSOP.

There are other options on offer at the site as well, including a deal for first-time depositors. Newbies to the site who add funds will earn a chance to compete in a monthly freeroll. The freeroll offers the winner a VIP trip to play in the event!

As part of its new services in Michigan, WSOP has signed 2009 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Cada as a local ambassador for the brand. Cada is a resident of the state, and he is looking forward to getting to know the poker players online as he takes part in gaming. Cada will host live streaming of his gaming sessions from the site and take part in bounty events.

WSOP.com is offering a $1,000 bonus to any resident of Michigan who can outlast the pro in the WSOP Main Event this year. So, if anyone makes it to the Main Event via satellite, there is extra bonus cash on the table if they can remain seated in the event longer than Cada!
